Another weekend comes to a close.  They go so fast, I can't even recall what I did.

 

Oh, I got my hair cut.  Anthony came with me and the barber shaved him as well.  It was $15 a cut.  Seems like a lot, but I remember my Grandmother talking wistfully about the days when milk was a quarter.  So I'm not going to complain.  But next time I'm going to use a bowl and my razor and save $30.

 

We went swimming today.  It was a lot of fun.  I don't know how I can get water up my nose when I pinch it, but somehow every time I came off the water slide it filled my nasal cavity.  Then the next time I opened my mouth it all drained into the back of my throat and I'd start coughing.  Kind of like delayed drowning.  Perhaps it is the size and shape of my nose.

 

I watched "Shawn of the Dead" and "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" this weekend.  "Shawn of the Dead" was quite entertaining, although there were more zombies in it than I expected.  There were moments of absolute brilliance in the screenplay, especially near the beginning.  I wish there were more.  "Hitchhikers Guide" was just OK.  It's been a while since I've read the books.  I can't say it made the leap to the big screen that well.  But I can say it was infinitely better than the BBC series.
